The slightly alkaline hot spring water at Echigo Yuzawa Onsen, with a pH of 8.1, is gentle on the skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth after bathing.

About the Toei Hot Spring

The Toei hot spring was discovered in 1958 and boasted an abundant flow rate. However, construction of the Joetsu Shinkansen affected several hot springs in Echigo Yuzawa Onsen, resulting in a decrease in the overall hot spring volume in Yuzawa town. Therefore, in order to ensure a stable supply of hot spring water from the Toei hot spring and six other springs, a centralized hot spring management system was adopted in 1975. Since 2006, it has been privatized, and currently the hot spring water is collected at four distribution points and sent to various hotels and hot spring facilities.
The hot spring source at Yuzawa Toei Hotel has greatly contributed to the development of Yuzawa Town.

The men's side is constructed using large rocks from Mount Chokai, and the women's side using large rocks from Mount Hakkai, making it one of the largest open-air rock baths in the area.
The impressive sight of the hot spring water cascading down like a waterfall, combined with the abundant supply of hot spring water—a benefit only a hot spring owner can provide—allows you to fully experience the true essence of a hot spring.
At first glance, it's a magnificent and rugged rock, but once you surrender yourself to the hot spring water, your heart will be soothed by the gentle warmth that envelops you.
During the day, enjoy a relaxing time while overlooking the garden. At night, the garden is illuminated, and when you look up, a sky full of stars unfolds before you.
In winter, you can enjoy an open-air bath while gazing at the snowy landscape, and you can enjoy different scenery in each of the four seasons.

Men's large bath "Aoba no Yu"

The large communal bath has a high ceiling and a luxurious marble bathtub.
It is a spacious space with 15 washing areas that can accommodate more than 60 people at the same time. The changing room has been renovated to be chic and functional. A new dry sauna with beautiful wood grain has been installed in the men's bath, where you can relax and unwind surrounded by the scent of cypress.

Day-use hot spring

A day-trip bath that you can stop by during sightseeing or a drive.
The soft water of Toei Onsen will gently soothe the fatigue of travel.
Towels are provided, so you can come empty-handed.

Parking is free during the green season.

The parking lot is unavailable during the white season on Fridays, Saturdays, days before holidays, Sundays, and national holidays, as well as when it snows. Please use the town-run parking lot 200 meters away from the hotel.
